Greatest Book Ever: TheGoodPhight 9th Best Philly Sports Blog!

Is here.

How do I know it's the greatest book ever?  Two reasons:

  1.  I own it.  Very entertaining, and the kind of thing you can debate with your buddies for hours and hours.  I mean, a list of the top 100 athletes in Philly history?  I could argue that one for days.
  2. We're in it.  Page 254, top 10 Philly Sports Blogs, by Will Bunch.  TheGoodPhight pulls 9th place, which is fantastic!  Thanks to Will, and the authors (Glen MacNow & Big Daddy Graham), for "recognizing".  We'll go for top 5 in the next edition....
Seriously, it was VERY COOL to see us in there, and thanks to all of the readers who pointed it out.  And it IS a fun book.

Love to see any SBNation blog get some props! Plus, I've always liked Macnow and Graham...

For those who don't have the book
What are the other blogs in the top ten?

Beer Leaguer was number one...
... and it's a very good blog, but in my mind, TGP's the best. Congrats to you all.

My favorite Phils blog other than TGP, and the only one where I comment with any regularity. Weitzel has a different perspective than we do--he's a little more old-school--and the feel of the site is different with one author as well as the design/usability. But he's an excellent writer and has a good thing going over there. Solid choice.

Congrats to Jason (who I know reads TGP) and thanks to everyone else for helping us reach such Olympian heights.  Maybe a postseason appearance will bump us up even more... guys, a little help?

Go TGP!
Nice to be noticed. Some of the comments in the book would keep me from actually buying it, but that's just me.

Was there a 'top 10 lazy Abreu nicknames' list?  Macnow did write the thing.

well...
Not exactly, but they did get their shots in.

exciting stuff
This site has only been up for about 18 months. I'd like to think we're finding our voice and offering something valuable for seekers after baseball enlightenment with a Phillies rooting interest--which is, after all, how I think most of us would describe ourselves. That we're getting some recognition for it is pretty sweet.
