Is there a way to quantify managing?

Poor post title, but I couldn't think of a better way to ask in few words. Basically, my question is this. If you look at the ledger for every game of a season, is there a way to evaluate the impact of a manager on his team's games? People say that managers have the biggest impact in 1 run games, is that provable? If others are willing to help with the dirty work, I'm willing to work on developing a method, using evaluation of box scores and individual game situations. We'd need to develop a scoring system to evaluate every move, and we'd need to find out the scores for every manager in the NL. Evaluating managers in the AL would be tougher because of the nature of the lineup and the DH. Anyway, if there is an interest in this, let's discuss it, if not, no worries.
