MLB Wishful Thinking On Weather
An article in the Inquirer says that weather services actually gave fairly accurate forecasts to MLB.
Selig and other MLB guys said that the weather services with which they consulted indicated that the rain wouldn't be so bad Monday night. The services say otherwise.
AccuWeather...had developed a fairly accurate forecast by early Monday afternoon.
The National Weather Service revised its regional forecast several times during the day, but by 8 p.m., shortly before the start of Game 5, it was calling for substantial rainfall around 10 p.m. as well.
Meanwhile, WeatherBug's chief meteorologist, Mark Hoekzema, said his service had been telling baseball officials most of the day to expect rain at game time, light at first but intensifying until its peak at around 10 p.m.

Seligs an ass
he’s a shitty commish and he has no idea what he’s doing
He is so fuckin bias on so many things.
The one thong that realy pissed me off bout Selig is last year when Barry Bonds went for 766, now i feel no matter if Bonds did roids or not it wasnt proven at the time so selig should of been there for one of the biggest moments in the sports history.
Selig should of called the game b4 it started so then we dont waste a start of Hamels and we can play on a better day
Bud Selig…FUCK YOU
Why Can't Us

selig
Funny that after his debacle of a presidency George Bush might actually be a welcomed sight to the public in a new high profile job (assuming the rumors of him wanting to be the next baseball commish are true). Used-car salesman is a great analogy for Selig, every time he speaks he seems so damn disingenious.
I blame Bud Selig for the condition of our nation, if the owners had named Bush MLB Commissioner back in the early 90s (as has been rumored to have been an option), we could have avoided/ameliorated this existential mess in our world today.
That said, I think Bush would have been a good Commissioner at the time, but I don’t think so anymore. He’s a genuinely enthusiastic baseball fan (probably the only place where we overlap philosophically) but his mere presence would damage the game now.

Used car salesman is not an analogy for Selig. That was how he made his money before he got into baseball.
