Phils ink Ibanez; Bye Pat Burrell

Jayson Stark of ESPN.com is reporting that the Phillies have signed really old outfielder Raul Ibanez to a 3-year deal worth $30 million.

The Phillies have agreed to a three-year contract with free-agent outfielder Raul Ibanez, pending a physical. The deal is believed to be worth $30 million over three years. -Jayson Stark, ESPN

Ibanez is 37-years-old and will be 40 when this deal is up.

It also means that Pat Burrell's career in Philadelphia is officially over, and Ibanez will be the teams' everyday leftfielder. Gonna miss you, Pat.

Ibanez is gettting the same money per year that Ryan Howard got last season. Kill me.
