offense

i know its only spring training but is anyone else worried? we look horrible in every game! we have gotten killed by a lot of teams. our offense cant hit and our pitchers cant pitch. yes i know its still early but it is still pretty scary. our 5th pitcher is garbage J Roll is hitting worse than the UCLA baseball team right now. I dont know the exact numbers off the top of my head but its bad. i know i am just venting right now but we will not "win 100 games" playing like this. im going to be in florida soon and i hope to catch a few games and hopefully well be playing much better by then. thoughts???

I'm much more worried about the pitching than the bats, mostly because Rollins et al have track records and seem to be healthy.

Overall, I'm not feeling particularly optimistic right now. But that's not unusual for me with the Phillies.

Yes, I second that. Sure we haven't been scoring too many runs, but we have the best offense in the NL. Our pitching, on the other hand, has been getting clobbered in every game. AND most would agree that in this department we rank among the league's worst.

If either units' performance is a sign of things to come, I would have to say it's the pitching.
