Tonight Eaton can convince me

To wait one more week to see if he is for realsie reals.  I have no idea what to expect from this perennial  underachiever.  Currently he is 0-0 with a 3.95 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP.  His K/BB ratio is pretty poor at 7/6 however.  I think tonight is the perfect test.  Houston is about league average offensively (maybe a bit worse) and is the type of team I want my Adam Eaton to succeed against.

If he gets lit up by the Mets or Braves, I can deal with that because I don't expect him to be able to beat those teams.  It is the Houston Astros, the LA Dodgers and the Cincinatti Reds that I want him to succeed against.  And if he can throw in a win against an upper tier team, then all the better.

I actually expect another decent game from Eaton.

Are those your projections for tonight?

How’d you come up with the HBP? :)

I’m crossing my fingers for a good outing from Eaton, but wish in one hand, crap in the other and see which one fills up first, right?

I’m going to say Eaton goes six innings, gives up five runs on eight hits and two walks, and strikes out four.

Not so bad thus far.

For Who? My teammates.

For What? To Win.

How Much? Where do I sign?

Nice job!

And by the way, I’ll sign up for that from Eaton for the rest of the year

We need Eaton

Oddly enough, I think Eaton could be this year’s Kyle Kendrick… and KK could be this year’s Eaton.

Eaton’s ERA is at 4.12. Not great, but if he can keep that up, the Phils will win the division.

I like that. With the Phillies offense-at least the Phils’ 2007 offense, which hasn’t shown up yet-I think it works.
