Why no Coste?

Why does ruiz play so much more than coste? i dont know if its just me but i feel that coste is a better hitter and at least a wash defensively if not better than ruiz. tonight against johan we start ruiz and he is just looking lost. i dont get it. coste is hitting .400 to ruiz's .186. no brainer to me. i just feel that ruiz is garbage and coste is much better.
oh, and reyes was out at second...

Hamels seems to always pitch to Ruiz. Obviously last night wasn’t great but the results have been good in general.

Ruiz has played horribly this April, both at bat and in the field. I wouldn’t mind seeing more Coste in the short term.

But he isn’t “garbage.” He was a good hitter in the minors. Decent patience, decent power, decent average. He was a great fielder last year. In the long term, he’ll be no worse than Coste and probably better.

no brainer

it’s as simple as the fact that Donovan McNabb isnt good at throwing footballs .Coste to date 4/29 has almost exactly half the at bats as Ruiz and better numbers accros the board .And not only better but timley alot of his # come at clutch key moments of the game .Let alone having the best avg. on the squad granted the 3 of appearences .Im not saying everyday but I do think the balance should be the other way -70-30 Coste because it would give disney a better ending to the movie
