May 19: Myers vs. Redding
Philadelphia Phillies at Washington Nationals, May 19, 2008 7:10 PM EDT
Is tonight the night Brett Myers finds his mojo? Will Tim Redding throttle the Phillies again as he did in a 1-0 victory back in early April? The answers to these and other questions not immediately occurring to me will be revealed in tonight's game, joined in progress...

Thanks for the research on our prospects, I appreciate all your involvement.
No prob. I like to follow the prospects.
Jenkins doubles to start the 2nd. I didn’t see the first, but apparently the Phils hit a few balls hard. Maybe they’ll do better against Redding tonight than in the second game of the season.
they do suffer the suckage….thankfully i missed them and this game AND got work to pay for some summer edimication….double bonus…i think arizonas crew is worse, mark graces absolutely hatred of all statistics you need to think about for even a millisecond takes the joe morgan cake

(having to listen on radio – game blacked out here in NC thanks to Time-Warner Cable and MASN having argument)
Myers may feel like that’s a bad luck hit, but the difference is that a staff ace doesn’t give up lead off doubles then walk people on 4 pitches to put himself in a situation where that kind of hit leads to multiple runs.
I’ll watch through the phils next at-bat. I have more faith in the Rollins-Burrell half of the lineup than I do in the Jenkins-Myers half.
Feliz is frustrating, but compared to what we’ve had at 3rd base in the past couple years, he’s still an improvement. He’s a far superior fielder when compared to Helms/Nunez/Bell and he’s got more pop in his bat than those clowns as well.
This also has the potential to be one of those 12-3 kind of games (as Myers walks the leadoff man, and essentially puts him on 2nd with an out) as the bullpen is taxed, Durbin pitched a lot yesterday, so I don’t see Myers getting pulled before he throws 100 pitches unless something crazy happens like bases loaded with the him due up.
This is the part where Madson comes in and gives up 2 or 3 runs effectively putting a somewhat close game completely out of reach late. But hey, its not like we would be able to score at all assuming we could get a few guys on base.
I need a vacation. After Cole tomorrow, I am taking some time off from this nonsense.
Not for nothing, i just got home and am watching the cubs/astros on espn…dave borkowski has the crazy eyes
