Game 33: Moyer vs. Scherzer
Philadelphia Phillies at Arizona Diamondbacks, May 5, 2008 9:40 PM EDT
To make the obvious joke: one guy throws 98, the other guy is 98. Jamie Moyer tries to turn back time, Cher-style, as the NL East-leading Phillies visit the NL West-leading Diamondbacks, taking the field behind highly touted kid pitcher Max Scherzer.

Shane Victorino really raking right now, with an opposite field double.
Bruntlett HBP (probably). First and second, no one out for CHASE
Hudson singles, Jenkins bobbles, and Hudson’s at second with two out in the first.
I am REALLY gonna have a problem with the D’bag announcers.
The kid is about to strike out the side in the second. And they’ve all been quick. Maybe he threw 12 or 13 this inning.
Howard with the niiiice advance on a wild pitch that didn’t get that far away from the plate. You never want to make the last out at third (so I’ve heard once or twice), but it worked.
Knock on wood.
But Moyer’s success so far against the D-Bags reminds me a lot of what he has been able to do against the Marlins’ young lineup. He really seems to make these hitters impatient.
Uh oh, homer, now it starts, Phils are going down.
For Who? My teammates.
For What? To Win.
How Much? Where do I sign?
Oh come on, if you can’t laugh at yourself, then how can I without feeling guilty?

For What? To Win.
How Much? Where do I sign?
