Philadelphia Phillies at Miami Marlins, Jul 20, 2008 1:10 PM EDT
Cole Hamels is the Phillies' ace, but he hasn't pitched like it in two starts against the Marlins this season (0-1, 5.93). Perhaps the third time, and the two extra days' rest he's coming off, will prove a charm. Attendance note: check if the large number of Phillies fans evidently at Dolphins Stadium boo Wes Helms, plaything third and hitting cleanup for Florida this afternoon.

I would say Cole solved the Marlins last time against them…

Another start like that would be fine by me ;)
Yeah, I think I’d blocked that one out based on how it ended (Tom Gordon meets Dan Uggla). But yeah.
The son they don’t talk about of the police comissioner of Gotham

Hey maybe they aren’t total morons, they say Hamels should have been on the All star roster

I’m confused, i thought the pitching sucked and hence we needed joe blanton?

Only counts when they lose. I’ve thought about posting a recap of the half-dozen or so truly gruesome Sunday defeats from this season, but you and I are both masochistic enough already…
Now we get to watch their pathetic attempts to score runs and then lose on a a walkoff homerun by Dan Uggla in the 10th.
Romero throws one pitch, and that’s it. Durbin, my pitching analogue to Jenkins (just wait), coming in.
That’s not fair. Durbin has been huge for this BP, Jenkins has consistently sucked. Durbin might regress to the mean at some point, but he has been great so far…give the man some credit. 2 batters faced, 2 k’s.
Feliz reaches on error to end a string of 11 straight whisper-quiet outs.
Then first pitch to Ruiz, high and outside, is called a strike…
Ruiz soft single, Feliz to 2nd. LOBs presumably coming.
