Feliz to DL; Cervanek recalled
It's on the front page of Rotoworld:
Phillies placed infielder Pedro Feliz on the 15-day disabled list with lower back inflammation.
The stint is retroactive to July 24. Feliz has reportedly been bothered by the stiffness for a couple of weeks, which might help explain why he had just one hit in his last 21 at-bats. Eric Bruntlett and Greg Dobbs will see time at third until he returns.
I don't generally have much use for counterintuitive arguments like "you wouldn't want to play Greg Dobbs regularly because he's such a good pinch-hitter," but his splits are so pronounced--.426/.461/.638 in 47 pinch-hit at-bats, versus .253/.295/.337 in 83 AB as a starter (if my math is right, that is)--that I wouldn't be shocked if
Bruntlett gets the bulk of the starts in Feliz's absence.

also, i'm going to miss feliz.
his defense is fun to watch and he has seemed to do everything that we expected this year. maybe it was a dumb move to sign him (instead of cough::lohse), but this definitely hurts the team. here’s to hoping he comes back soon.
I will not most feliz at all, his 1 for 21 could be blamed on a bat, or it could be blamed on his suckage…shame they haven’t tried donald at 3rd yet…idjits
