Hamels hurt?

Now I didn't hear this myself, but people on various websites (rotoworld, phillies.com) are saying Howard Eskin of 610 WIP said that a scout told him that Hamels has something like a stress fracture in his elbow?

Has anyone else heard about this and how credible is Eskin? Since people on a couple different sites are talking about this, I'm assuming Eskin did mention it - he's been on air since 3 PM today.

Eskin

When I lived in Philly, Eskin was the only guy that I would turn off. He was such an intentional jackass that I couldn’t stand to listen to him. The “shock jock” mentality of being so stupid that people would listen to you just to complain about you was lost on me. That’s why there’s more than one radio station, or an off button.

Sounds like drivel just to get more listeners to his show.

I think Eskin is reasonably knowledgeable about football and basketball, but he’s always, always been clueless about baseball.

Cole Hamels is a movie buff, so the Phillies lefthander might know he has something in common with Al Czervik, Rodney Dangerfield’s character in Caddyshack: Neither has a broken arm. A rumor swirled yesterday that Hamels had been pitching with a small fracture in his left elbow, which was false.

“Do you know how much it would hurt to pitch with a broken arm?” Hamels said.
