Brewers Fire Yost

So, it seems that the recently departed Brewers have gone ahead and fired Ned Yost and promoted third base coach Dale Sveum to take over the helm.  Wow.  I don't know about you guys, but the Brewers are not out of the playoff race here and after a really hard series for them I don't know if canning the manager is going to send the kind of message they were looking for.  So, if Dale goes 2-2 over the next four games, is he the next one to get the axe?  This really can't be good for the feeling in the locker room.  Jesus.  Between this and the Mets constant bullpen implosion, I'm upgrading my playoff feeling from guardly optomistic to fully optomistic!

Pretty stunning news… but as a Phillies fan, I wish they hadn’t done this. It’s a panic move, yes, but hard to argue that he didn’t fully earn it.

Yost was one of the best things we had going for us. That’s a good team, with a lot of talent—this might wake them up. Certainly it worked for the Mets.

That’s okay: I, for one, am now pro-Brewers. That way, we can take the division and the Mets can get knocked out of the playoffs altogether!!

We can always just fire Cholly to make our guys play better.

I kid, I kid.

There’s got to be more to this than they are saying…this makes almost no sense whatsoever…did Yost do bad things to Doug Melvin? Are they mad cause he thought CC Sabathias arm shouldn’t fall off?

Chaos seems to rule all the professional sports franchises in Wisconsin

I actually thought the destroy-CC’s-arm thing was brilliant, in a deeply evil way. “You won’t sign with us? Have fun in the Angels’ trainer’s office, fatass!”

well, no...

It didn’t look as though Melvin was bad-mouthing Yost at all, in fact it seemed quite the opposite. He seemed stunned.
