Blanton signs one year Deal
Phils sign Joe Blanton.
The Phillies have agreed to a one-year contract worth $3.125 million with outfielder Shane Victorino and a one-year deal worth $5.475 million with pitcher Joe Blanton. Both had been eligible for salary arbitration.
Victorino, 28, was one of the Phillies' postseason heroes last season. He hit a grand slam home run in the National League Division Series against the Brewers and a game-tying homer in Game 4 of the NLCS against the Dodgers.
The signings leave three players eligible for arbitration: Ryan Howard, Jason Werth and Chad Durbin. Potential salary fiures for arbitration-eligible players will be exchanged today.

Excited
Very nice to see Blanton back, after we got him from the A’s nobody expected him to do that well, but he ended up pitching very well, happy to see what he can do this coming season
