Been hearing talk that if both the Red Sox and Twins extend their series by another day, the Phillies and Rox have to play at 2 PM tomorrow. Talk about dicking over fanbases to serve the almighty AL Rivals.

It’s indeed pretty galling to have to defer to the two Queen Bee teams for three games in one series. I understand ratings yada yada, but three times? Throw us a frickin’ bone.

Wait – so MLB/TBS couldn’t move our game today up to the Cards-Dodgers timeslot because it would have been too short notice. But they’re going to wait until 10 pm tonight to announce the time for our game tomorrow?

That is precisely what it sounds like…they were awaiting the outcomes of LA-Boston and NY-Minny before announcing our start time. With Boston out, we play no earlier than 5 PM, all indications.

Might not be such a bad thing that we’re going to have to use Cliff Lee in DS Game 4, which (if we win) would make him unavailable until Game 2 (if three days rest) or 3 (if full rest) of the NLCS. The Dodgers are much better against LHP than RHP. Here are the differences in their “vs. LH” OPS minus “vs. RH” OPS (2009, 2006-08, and career).

I would hope Charlie would keep Lee on regular rest and pitch him in Game 3. And also move Happ to the bullpen and replace Bastardo with one of the righties we dropped for the DS.

We won 2 of 3 in LA last year. No reason it can’t happen again.

Of course, have to concentrate on this round first.

There are quite a few reasons it won't happen again, but I'll save that for later.

All in all, I wish you guys luck, and I wish you a 5th game.

I really, really want my Dodgers to get another crack at you in the NLCS. It’d be sweet to beat you in 5 like you beat us in 5 last year. Good, solid ass-whipping last year. We hope to have the opportunity to return the favor this year.
