Pedro Martinez makes his first postseason appearance for the Phillies against former Phil and alleged sociopath and Gene Simmons lookalike Vicente Padilla. I'll take my chances.

yeah that’s what i’m thinking (regarding acevedo)… I would say that Walter would be an interesting father, to say the least. Well we’ve all kind of known Peter was from somewhere else, but now we got a revelation as to how and when he was taken.

i didn’t get a chance to watch last night’s epi yet either. I do agree that the pilot was meh, but it’s shown some really good progress since then. It has become part of my regular rotation now as well. Thank god there’s some quality TV on again, and not just god awful reality tv.

Part of the coolness of V was the ‘surprise’ – but now everyone knows the twist about the visitors – and it was cheesy which was kind of cool but now it’ll be all flashy
plus bailey? REALLY….budget couldn’t get anybody better than Bailey.
The one show i was really looking forward to – that already got the shaft – it was called like year one – on NBC – the commercials for it make it look quite cool

Utley’s throwing has been a bit squirrelly lately. Not just on the attempted DP last night, but even a lot of his successful throws have been high.

This was absolutely on the defense. Not Manuel, not the bullpen. Feliz, Park on the bunt, and above all Utley’s horrible throw when he had a friggin’ hour to get the guy.
Except that the bullpen walked in a run with the bases loaded – that’s kind of unacceptable no matter what…

We all understand that a split is fine. We’re all satisfied with a split. Don’t ask me to cheer and be all happy with it. Not after they choked this one away.
No it wouldn’t HAVE ended it…it would have improved the odds which were already pretty good (first game winners in the recent decades tend to win the LCS a lot they said last night) – I’m perfectly comfortable with the split – and no one thought pedro and padilla would pitch like this

Yes. Stepping away from the facts of the games a split is a good thing. Before the series I would have signed up for a split.
However, knowing the facts of this game a split sucks. This was a poor game.
It was but in a 7 game series you almost expect to drop at least one. I do not deny that this game should have been won by our guys but we did walk away with a split and lee pitching game 3.
If you thought the phillies could win this game 1-0 – you weren’t realistic anyway.

I can’t even get that upset at the bullpen — it was a bad inning, but when you hold a team to 2 runs and get to face Vicente Padilla, you should win 80% of the time.
One guy held them to zero runs – and 5 guys took one inning to give up 2 runs.
