Sunday Night Philadelphia Weather Looking Downright Crappy (a reprise of Game 5A?)
Remember Game 5A from last year's World Series? Well, if you don't, the weather tomorrow night looks like it should jog your memory. Showers with temps in the upper 30s. How long will Bud Selig and his merry crew of idiots make Philadelphia fans sit out in the elements this time?

Wait, wait...
…maybe we can wait until the weather is absolutely at its worst point, ask Cliff Lee to pitch an inning…then postpone. That sounds fair to both teams.

If something that bad were to happen, there really would be no choice but to question Selig’s motivation. It ain’t a conspiracy theory if it’s the decision of one man.

This is going to be close
If we lose Cliff Lee’s start thanks to MLB dicking us around, the city is going to hang Selig.

Oh my God
I think I would be at the front of the mob with the pitchfork and/or torch.

It was pouring last night by the end of the Yankee game and you could tell there was no way they were going to stop that.

Pie
Speaking of the Yankees game, I thought the whole pie-in-the-face after a walkoff win has now reached bush-league status when you give a pie in the face to a guy who scores the winning run on an infield error. There wasn’t even a play at the plate to justify it as a great effort. I guess this is part of the new tradition for the Yankees.

Looking ok now
It seems like the weather might hold up for tonight. It’s looking cold, but looks like no rain.

I’m about 10 miles from the ballpark. It’s cold and raw and breezy, but for the first time in four days this afternoon there was sunlight and dry pavement. The radar shows this thing swirling up toward New York, and tomorrow high temps finally in the 50s again.

Yup. I’m 3 miles north of the park. And, while there’s no sunlight, this is the first sustained period of dryness since wednesday.

Charley Steiner sounding really pompous right now in his interview on the radio, like he’s talking down to Jim Jackson. It’s too bad, I used to like Steiner in his ESPN days.
