BA lists 3 Phillies in FSL Top 20
This is what you might call back page news at the current time, but figured I'd pass it along nonetheless. Domonic Brown (#3), Kyle Drabek (#5), and Freddy Galvis (#19) represent the Phils in the Florida State League.

Hey, I’m always excited to hear about our prospects, whatever else is going on.
I still have some trouble believing that Galvis will be a particularly useful big-league regular, though I guess there’s some Nunez-type value in being John McDonald.

Is there a different nunez or are we talking about Abe?

As always, I’m obliged to point out here that John McDonald has a special place in my heart, as the last remaining MLB alumnus of a now defunct Providence College baseball program. Ahhh, Title IX.
I share your skepticism over Galvis’ bat. I tried to paint an optimistic picture here, and the fact that he’s constantly been young for his level is cause for some hope, but there’s almost no way to reasonably hope for him becoming anything more than a .260/.330/.360 type hitter at this point. Still, BA thinks he barrels the ball well and could improve as he gets bigger, and his glove could ultimately make him a second division starter type — which isn’t the worst thing in the world to have at shortstop, especially with what passes for an effective shortstop these days.
