Yankees fan going to game 5

Just want to see the game.

Star-divide

I am a die-hard Yankees fan that dosent shit on other teams except Boston, but going to the game tonight with my daughter and I have never been to Philly. Will I be treated fairly or should I not go becuase how rabid Philly fans are, from what i have heard. Just hope for a great game, cant wait to see this pitching duel between Lee and Burnett.

If you actually have tickets and the chance to see your team clinch, why wouldn’t you go? No one’s going to eat your young. Cheer on your team, be respectful, and it’ll be a great experience for your daughter. But if you go looking for trouble, you’re sure to find it.

Should be fine

But do expect to hear some shit from some fans.

agreed

Expect some verbal abuse but nothing physical unless, like mentioned above, you’re looking for it.

I only ask because when i went to Boston, a rude gentlemen decided to throw a soda on my daughter and my self, she is 3, because we are Yankee fans. I do not look for trouble i am fairly quiet during games. I just dont want a great experience to turn into a nightmare.

No guarantee, but that shouldn't happen

There are jerks everywhere. In a crowd of 46,000, if you’re sitting near one, anything is possible. But, this shouldn’t happen. If you’re not instigating, you’ll get some friendly ribbing, but you should be fine. Especially if you’re with a three year old.

Have fun . . . watching your team lose. :)

You’ll probably be fine. As a Phillies fan who lives in New York, I’ve rarely had trouble at Shea/Taxpayer Field and never anything worse than some razzing, and I don’t even have a small child to tamp down the aggression of drunken strangers.

Where are you sitting? You should be fine no matter what, but the nicer your seats, the better your chances are.

Forget what these guys say. Don’t bring your daughter unless you want to see her dismembered and then eaten alive by the deranged Phillie Phanatics. I knew a guy who was a Mets fan who thought it would be a good idea to bring his little brother to a game. By the time they found the body, the only way they could identify him was through his dental records.

We Phillies fans murder and eat children. If you didn’t know this by now, you have been asleep (or you do not have a basic cable package).

I kid, of course. Just be nice (and don’t engage the drunkards), and you should be fine. Enjoy the game.

Love the humor from you guys, i in turn hate obnoxious Yankee fans that ruin a game because they have to act stupid and retarted. I can take good ribbing and fun like that, but when you have to take it so personal, it ruins the atmosphere. Philly fans are fun and passionate and can’t wait to see Citizens Bank Park. By the way GO EAGLES.

I would never expose my child to this.

And by “this,” I mean the moral and spiritual retardation of being a Yankees fan.

It could be worse – he could be a Braves fan

i dont care if they are in our division

I’d prefer a braves fan to a yankees fan any day of the week

I live in Florida – around here, the Turnerites are worse than the Steinbrennerians.

How was the game?

Hopefully everyone was well behaved and made it a pleasant experience for you. I’m sure if it was negative it would been smeared everywhere like the article in the breakfast links yesterday morning haha. Give us your thoughts from the opposing perspective.

Great Time, Wished for a different outcome.

I have to say it was the most enjoyable experience. That ballpark is one of the best I have been to. I wish the game turn out different but overall it was awesome. The fans were great, and i was in a sea of red, I did have trash talking but it was clean and respectful. I would say Philly gets a bad rap, i did see some other Yankee fans get some worse treatment but I would say it was because they were being assholes. I would absolutly go there again for a game.
