True dat. It amazes me how much league pennants seem to have been devalued in our winner-take-all culture.

Indeed. The entire country is now packed with millions of Dale Earnhardt wannabes.

Very True

Used to be more important to win your league than to win the WS. Hell it still is, since you can’t get the latter without the former.

WC… if you go on flickr and search “phillies pennant 2009” there are some good photos of what your are looking for. I just can’t figure out how to copy and post. Also, one of the photo’s on flickr is from Pompomflipflop, who did that “Not Philly Enough” post the other day.

A solid candidate, I just wish the flag were a little more “readable”

Yeah, I can’t tell if it says “2009” or “pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.”

I kinda love that picture actually.

It has my vote, not that I am mistaking this for a democracy or anything.

That is a great picture.

It really illustrates what makes the Phanatic great. It isn’t his skits or his set-pieces. It’s the way he’s able to convey “attitude” just through his walk or his posture. I still find it hilarious even after all these years.

I have a photo from Spring Training this past Feb of my son high fiving the Phanatic and it’s one of my favorite photos in the world. I think I was actually more excited about it than my son.

You could probably try attaching that username to @gmail and @yahoo. Seems unlikely that another person would have the exact same username, and even if someone does, no big deal.

That guy in pompomflipflip’s Photostream looks awfully familiar…
