March 31, 2009 - Phillies Breakfast Links

The Phillies trounced the Astros, 13-3.  Home runs for Ryan Howard, Eric Bruntlett, Jimmy Rollins, and Carlos Ruiz.  Chan Ho Park was outstanding, again.  This is becoming a nice problem to have.

Cole Hamels will officially miss the home opener.

Sorry, Brad Lidge, you're not, like, the greatest ever.  Suck-o.

J.C. Romero still bitter, angry.  You won't like him when he's angry.

From Beyond the Boxscore: Jason Donald is not a shortstop.

Phillyist breaks down Opening Week.

American Red Cross Blood Drive TODAY at Citizens Bank Park!  Noon to 7:00 pm.  Meet Tom McCarthy and the Phillies Ballgirls.  And possibly the apostate Red Phanatic.

Cole Hamels: Mr. Indispensible.

The Phillies have signed Dominican amateur free agent Domingo Santana.  The 16 year old is 6'5", 220 lbs.  When I was 16, I was awfully good at Street Fighter II.

Mets bloggers look ahead to the 2009 season, restart Xanax regimines.

Chipper Jones and the Braves are close to a contract extension that would keep Jones with the Braves through 2013; both sides expect him to play 200 more games between now and then.

The phillies signed a 16 year old dominican free agent?

SEriously – to me that’s astonishing news

"Someone created the box score," Morey says, "and he should be shot."

Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.

MK2

Mortal Kombat 2 was great; I could do without all the others. Too many hidden characters, etc.
