Surely exposure to his bestest pal Chase Utley would warm things up!

Atkins always has been a guy who seemed like a potential good fit for us. But the questions over his defense and how much of his production was Coors-driven were enough that it clearly wouldn’t be worth giving up a lot for him. If the Rockies were willing to dump, though, that could be interesting.

I’d almost be tempted to pull the trigger on that Carrasco-for-Atkins thing, although I’m not going to bail on C.C. just yet despite his poor start this year.

That only makes sense if you think short term offense is more important to the phillies than the possibility of improving their starting pitching either through trade or prospect

"Someone created the box score," Morey says, "and he should be shot."

Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.

Yeah, I don’t think I’d be up for that. Carrasco’s peripherals are still pretty good—something like 4-1 K/BB ratio—he’s just had a few awful innings.

Atkins

The Rockies are going to be lucky to get a huge package deal for this guy. I say save the pain and stay with Feliz the rest of the year
