And having read his work here I see no reason why he can’t keep it up for 8 weeks and take the title. So I guess there are intelligent Phillies fans out there – whodathunkit?!

NEWThis was a surprise. I’ve already come to expect a certain level from performance from each of the BP Idol contestants, and I’ll admit my expections for Matt so far have been pretty low.
But this was great. This is probably the class of the round. If Matt can write articles like this consistently, he needs a regular job somewhere.

Neither actually. My mom doesn’t have a subscription to BP, though she apparently is reading the articles and seems excited (despite never getting into baseball), and my dad subscribed to BP but hasn’t commented on anything as far as I know, though his post would look more like the ‘momansf’ comment than the ‘evan’ comment. The comments this week were by far better than I got in previous weeks. Either that or I have a bunch of moms I didn’t know about.
I don’t a sanjaya would exist in this contest as it’s mostly intelligent educated voters and not the ‘average american mouthbreather’ who watches american idol – better calibre of voter – thus better calibre of candidate
