Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

Joke Artists: Phillies at Mets Game Thread, June 10, 2009.

Philadelphia Phillies at New York Mets, Jun 10, 2009 7:10 PM EDT

After last night's frustrating defeat at the hands of the suddenly sluggerriffic Mets lineup and despite battering the suddenly just pretty good Johan Santana, the Phillies attempt to flip the script by sending ace Cole Hamels to the mound tonight in New York.  You may recall this winter when Cole stole the Mets fans' blankies and made them cry when he was goaded into calling the team "choke artists" on that POS sports talk station in New York.  He'll be opposed by Mike Pelfrey.

Discuss the game below.  I wanna win this one, badly.

Welcome back to the top spot Jimmy Rollins – you may now resume whatever it is you do.

"Someone created the box score," Morey says, "and he should be shot."

Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.

Hopefully that is, kill the Mets.

You’re unusually hopeful.

Me I expect more of the ‘pre temporary reassignment’ jimmy.

Was he even in the 6 hole for a week?
