Korea Times: Chan Ho Park Earns Third Win
"Park improves his record to 3-1 and lowers his ERA from 6.40 to 6.08." Thank goodness for that.

Stars Align for Phillies Draft Pick | NBC Philadelphia
Kelly Dugan, the son of Hollywood director Dennis Dugan, was joined by his Dad's pals Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade for his contract signing this weekend.Dugan is the World Champs, including video of the contract signing, and well-known Mets fan Kevin James being (naturally) unfunny. The kid says "like" a lot.
Stormy start for top draft pick Dugan
And on the flight, he looked out his window and saw a little gremlin on the wing, played by Adam Sandler...
Johan Santana losing steam for Mets as velocity continues to drop
Beginning with a slugfest in San Francisco in which Johan Santana was roughed up on May 16, the lefty has surrendered 29 runs (26 earned) and 45 hits in 36 innings, for a 6.50 ERA. Back soreness, blister, split fingernail, the man may or may not be a wreck right now...
It Pays Not to Have a Team Full of Choke Artists - WSJ.com
And the Wall Street Journal discovered close-and-late statistics. They mention WPA, but don't really cite it. And they still use batting average to demonstrate performance. Ick.
Wawa Inc. said that beginning today, it convenience stores will begin exclusively selling a book honoring the life of famed Philadelphia Phillies announcer Harry Kalas, entitled Remembering Harry Kalas: Wonderful Stories from Friends Celebrating a Great Life.
So Wawa will be adding another sweet, treacly item to their inventory, along with the Tasty Klair Pies.

WSJ/Dave Cameron
What’s even weirder about the WSJ not citing FanGraphs is that the author of the WSJ article is Dave Cameron, one of the regular writers at FanGraphs. I’m not sure if he was the one to invent WPA himself, but that’s kinda odd.
The Phils brought back Terry Mulholland?
For Who? My teammates.
For What? To Win.
How Much? Where do I sign?
Not for nothing – anyone else watching this game on ESPN – it’s awesome
"Someone created the box score," Morey says, "and he should be shot."
Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.

I am…it has had it all tonight. Also, I can’t believe what plagues this ballpark. If it isn’t the midges, it’s the seagulls.
Their fireworks budget is going to skyrocket (for those who don’t know, the cleveland solution to making the seagulls go away is to set off the fireworks at the end of every half inning to make them scurry)
Is Jacobs field the new ‘mistake by the lake’?

They should use panthers instead, how awesome would that be? Baseball AND quasi-gladiatorial animal combat! Bread and circuses!!

Only in the sense that the entire city is. The ballpark itself is actually not all that close to the shore.
Someone better at this embedding thing than me – there are two hysterical ‘tourist’ videos for cleveland out there – if you haven’t seen them they are a good laugh – unless you can’t laugh at crippling depression and houses the price of a VCR
