Not trying to get all maudlin or Nick Cave on everyone (although the state of the team right now may warrant it), but it was on this site nearly 16 years ago that Joe Carter dashed our hopes and killed one of the more entertaining baseball team's the city would ever know.
That was then, this is now: Cole Hamels (who was 9 friggin' years old in 1993) goes against Ricky Romero (not to be confused with the Fark.com meme) tonight at Rogers Centre, the renamed SkyDome.

I am growing for respect for CHOP. I know we can roast him for his horrible starting pitching but he has been our best bullpen pitcher for awhile and he made the out there. Give him credit, he deserves it.
