I hope Blanton didn’t feel up at the paual deen cafe before this game

"Someone created the box score," Morey says, "and he should be shot."

Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.

Lost opportunity. Hope it doesn't come back to bite us.

Is this blog how you’re “watching” the game?

by Ritty77 on Jun 30, 2009 7:50 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I live in california, and i don’t get the extra innings package, need that money for now…so i usually watch through the blog – it’s just interesting that a pitcher gets credit for pitching ‘out’ of a jam but often it’s fotten he put himself in the same jam :)

And popping up the pitcher isn’t exactly ‘crafty’ :)

It really irks me when Phillies fans at CBP throw back opposing homeruns. If I am ever so lucky to catch an opposing HR, damn sure I will be keeping the thing…it’s like winning the lottery and giving the money right back.

I’ve heard stuff like that, too. That people bring old baseballs to games and throw those onto the field instead of the actual home run ball.

It’s all the Cubs fans’ fault. They started it, and it spread like a disease.

I think that might start a fight – but it would top the mets outfielders slip and fall in center field tonight which if it happened in the fourth and my memory tells me it did – didn’t do santana any favors

We're lucky...

… that our division is so bad.

Remember when Jimmy Rollins was in the six spot for two games and didn’t suck for two games – and how those two things coincided?

Do you think Mr Manuel remembers?

did he get his last hit batting 6th? I’m serious. I can’t remember.

But...

… Jimmy’s ALWAYS been a leadoff guy! That’s all he can do!

Wait…

Batting 1st – .195
Batting 5th – .273
Batting 6th – .625
Batting 9th – .333

batting 5, 6, and 9 all are very small sample sizes, but still.

Even if he doesn’t perform better there, at least he will get fewer total plate appearances with which to suck in each game.

whats Jimmy, 0-33? Maybe if we have bruntlett leading off he can step into some pitches and get on base

btw, we dont have victorino leading off bc he went 2 for 15. But at this rate, he’d have 4 hits to rollins 0

Trust me on this – watch the Mets highlights – you’ll cheer up

thank you! Fernando Martinez replaces own divot! Classic! Perhaps we should keep encouraging Rollins’ relentless flyballs as a secret weapon to unleash vs. the Mets!

endgame

f…ing nobody gets 4RBI against Phils – a too often occurence. I still am not a fan of CHP. Attitude better out of pen but when the best thing you can say is he lowered his ERA to just under 6 (now back over) we should all puke.
