I live in california, and i don’t get the extra innings package, need that money for now…so i usually watch through the blog – it’s just interesting that a pitcher gets credit for pitching ‘out’ of a jam but often it’s fotten he put himself in the same jam :)
And popping up the pitcher isn’t exactly ‘crafty’ :)

It really irks me when Phillies fans at CBP throw back opposing homeruns. If I am ever so lucky to catch an opposing HR, damn sure I will be keeping the thing…it’s like winning the lottery and giving the money right back.
One guy told a story how he threw a homerun to Fred McGriff at a Cubs game…‘ball’ got thrown back – rolled all the way to pitchers mound and it was a rubber covered ‘fake out’ ball :)

I’ve heard stuff like that, too. That people bring old baseballs to games and throw those onto the field instead of the actual home run ball.

J Roll may be unsalvagable. Story of season really is how amazing to be in !st, 5 games over even with no leadoff hitter, your “best” pitcher on DL and your RBI leader and one of prime catalysts (Ibanez) out for last 2 weeks and maybe longer. Ugh please give us Michael Taylor and Kyle Drabek or make a trade

f…ing nobody gets 4RBI against Phils – a too often occurence. I still am not a fan of CHP. Attitude better out of pen but when the best thing you can say is he lowered his ERA to just under 6 (now back over) we should all puke.
