congrats jonk

You’ve been the biggest non-Sox/non-Mets fan of Pedro I’ve known for quite some time.

It’s not even Pedro that I like (though I find him funny). I love dominance though.

I’m sure you can but why rub salt in the gaping wound that is your failed marriage that based on probability factors failed due to your own failings?

There is no wound and you are way too lame with your comments to even worry about. Keep on being you though, it’s fun to watch the train wreck.

Once it’s available can someone link to a video of the pc? Like to watch after work.

Pedro, innings hog?

So I was looking at Martinez’s game log from last season, and I think my fears that he’d be a 5-inning pitcher (which was my major objection to him) might be overstated.

In eight of his last ten, he went at least six IP. Now, most of these weren’t particularly good starts—I think three were “quality”—but only one (against the Phils, as it happened) saw him allow more runs than innings pitched.

If you credit that he’s healthier and more effective now than he was then, maybe it’s realistic to expect that he can give six innings plus more often than not. Should this prove to be the case, it’s probable this will turn out very well.

The best thing about that Zimmer vs Pedro bout...

…if you were listening on radio when it happened, the NY Yankees announcers said that Pedro had thrown David Wells down…then realized it was Zimmer…

Vivian Jaffe: "Have you ever transcended space and time?"
Albert Markovski: "Yes. No. Uh, time, not space... No, I don't know what you're talking about."
