Amazingly enough Madson wasn’t ready to step into the closer role. I honestly can’t believe what I’ve seen this month. Whether it is the lack of hitting, the fact that Jimmy still swings at the first pitch every time and can’t get on base, or the stints on the DL. We really need another quality starter. Oh, and that was just great. Wonderful

Echoing Dajafi, it just might not be our year. Next year we should have Drabek and/or Carrasco and/or Michael Taylor with the major league club. We will have a Cole Hamels who might be recharged after throwing 10000000 innings in 2008. Then again, we will still have a geriatric Ibanez who will be extremely unlikely to remain healthy and perform at a level so significantly above his career norms and we will still have a Jimmy Rollins who appears to have lost all the skill/intelligence necessary to be even a mediocre offensive baseball player.
In a word: flags fly forever.

I’m beging to think Rollins no longer cares now that he got his MVP and WS Title. yes flags are forever, but we should be playing better. i don’t expect a WS title or a divisin crown every year for that matter, but 4-14 is pathetic..
