Martino: Jays demand Drabek, Happ, and Brown for Roy Halladay.
Yikes.
But, I'm more convinced that this deal gets done, and gets done for something reasonable. That's the Jays' opening demand.

Couldn't agree more with what you've said.
That’s a package the Phils can’t afford to give up, but odds are it can be bargained down to a point where both sides are happy. Maybe instead of Drabek, we give up Carrasco, Donald, and d’Arnaud. I still stick to the “We can’t give up both Happ and Drabek” position, but if that’s the only thing holding the deal up, the odds of it getting done have to be pretty good.
Talk ’em down first.
I think they need to deal Halladay. He won’t resign and his value shouldn’t be higher for them.
they can try to talk them down, but i don’t think they’ll get anywhere. i would like to see the phils keep happ somehow, but that would be a miracle.
Happ is probably the least important piece in that deal for the Jays. If you’re willing to send Drabek and Brown to them, keeping Happ wouldn’t require a miracle.
I’d like to keep Drabek and Brown and give Carrasco and Taylor instead. Obviously, that would require some impressive negotiation and the addition of other prospects like Donald and Marson.
No. Screw 'em.
The Phillies are 6 up in the division and the playoffs are a crap shoot. No effing way.

One, not both
I’d do one of Drabek and Brown, but not both. I wouldn’t give up both our top pitching and top hitting prospect.

Opening offer
Riccardi hasn’t done a very good job of handling this whole thing, so I think we be able to get a better deal. At least to keep Drabek.
It’s actually gotten quite embarrassing what he’s done. I think it’s a real shame the circus Riccardi has created around a loyal and fantastic player who has served that organization well.
Good point
And now we wonder, if Halladay wants to leave, what caused it. Maybe the buffoon he’s working for?
Lolz @ blue jays
Swap out Drabek for Carrasco and Donald, then well talk. At least Happ was involved.
