A hell of a lot cheaper
However, the Phillies have a host of prospects at Class AAA Lehigh Valley who could interest the Pirates, including right-handers Andrew Carpenter and Carlos Carrasco, shortstop Jason Donald and outfielder Michael Taylor.

yeah and rightly so… a 35-48 career mark with a 1.45 WHIP and 4.21 ERA… unless that deal involves 20 bats and a case of balls going to the Pirates, I want no part of it

Duke is having a good year, but he’s never been able to strike people out, which is worrisome. I rather have Carrasco, and I don’t even know if he’s that much of an upgrade over Rodrigo Lopez this year.
