I can’t believe Ibanez has never been to an ASG before. But I guess when you play on the same team as Ichiro for most of your career, you get overlooked.

Well he’s also never had a season such as this or a rabid fanbase such as this…his numbers never really justified a manager or players pick…then again AS appearances are silly.

Time Wakefield second oldest player ever to make 1st all star game.

Just switched over here from the All-Star show. Good to see both Chase Utley and Charlie Manuel getting some interview time with David Wells & Co. I loved it when Charlie was asked why the team was doing so well on the road and so poorly at home: he said he used to give some reasons why, “But honestly, I don’t know.” What a refreshing answer.

I blame the beer

In the month of June, I had this variety case of Philadelphia Brewing Co. beer, which I generally like, but this case was skunky. I shouldn’t have, but I slogged through it anyway. Ran out on Wed. Picked up a case of Victory Prima Pils, and we are good to go.
