BJ Ryan Released

BJ Ryan was just released by the Jays. Guess they won't try to package him and his 12 million dollar salary with the Doc anywhere. Anybody think he can stay healthy the rest of the year? I'm sure someone will pick him up given time, though probably not as a closer. Maybe a set up man somewhere?

i would think that he could get a shot somewhere, but who knows with the money and his skill level now. Definitely not as a closer

His contract with the Jays was guaranteed (like all baseball contracts), he’s still getting the last $15 million from his deal regardless. If and when he signs with another team it’s going to be at the minimum salary. Someone’ll pick him up to stick in their bullpen.
