We played in the wrong park tonight . . . If we're in Philadelphia, we've probably got five homers, at least four. The long fly balls just weren't traveling. I knew Utley's was out and I knew Howard's was out.

Atlanta Braves Manager Bobby Cox after losing to the Phillies, 3-2, on Friday night. Now I'm remembering why I hate this team so much. They are the worst team insofar as whining about Citizens Bank Park goes. Remember John Smoltz's comments? At least the Mets win or lose without whining about the ballpark, theirs or ours. You both play on the same field at the same time Bobby, you big fat idiot.

According to my schedule, Bobby, you played in the right park. Sorry for your confusion on that. Pathetic.

Most punchable face?

Johnny Macchione or Bobby Cox?

I actually just think that is a really funny quote. Haha, it would have been better though if he explained that the wind was the primary reason the Braves lost last night.

Yeah yeah yeah

I really dont give a shit what Cox said. The only thing I care about right now is getting that stupid Chop song out of my head! AAHHHHHHH!!!!

Chop song and The Bank

I agree with philiafan, hate it when the Phils go to Atlanta and that stupid, stinkin tomahawk chop song is played…grrrrr. As for Bobby Cox, don’t be sour that Victorino was making those catches in your ballpark. Your Braves lost, that’s that. If you wanna talk about those long flies being home runs at the Bank, then wait for your turn to play there in two weeks. It’s not the ballparks fault that it held your players fly balls but Chase and Howard powered them out :P

Always put off today what can be put off tomorrow.

Poor Bobby, must have been tough to not be sure if he was in the right ball park all night. The man knows his baseball, but its always sad to see senility nestling in for a long stay. And I WISH the Mets were doing a little better so it was more satisfying to watch them fall. Now its just like watching a cow on a conveyor belt move toward the slaughter house; is it even worth it to make fun of them?

Oh well. Circle of life.

Bobby Cox is just mad that he can’t generate as much buzz by punching his wife as Michael Vick can by killing dogs.

Yeah, his mismanagement and choice of relief pitchers had nothing to do with the loss; it was all the ballpark’s fault. Whatever gets him through the night, I guess.

btw Brett Myers injured his eye while playing with his son… will miss his rehab start. No timetable

Cox wasn’t complaining. He was simply making his guys feel better and keeping the morale up for the rest of the series.

Jerky.

Your comment could also be aimed at Victorino: [HEY! Someone threw beer on me! He’s in big trouble!]

What a wanker. Great player, however.

Chris Collinsworth Bobby Cox, one in the same?

To Chris the eagles and Phills only win when the other team doesn’t play well.

No, you moron, he was simply saying that HAD we played in CBP last night, the Braves would’ve won

NOW it makes sense! Thanks for clearing that up, buddy! :)

How does cox explain all the other games his mediocre team has lost by one run this year?

i don’t know…probably the same way he explains our “mediocre” team’s 8 wins in 11 games against Philly.

That was last year, but good try.

"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." Phils would have won today if they played at home or something like that…

For Who? My teammates.

For What? To Win.

How Much? Where do I sign?
