Maybe Moyer’s earned himself a spot start or two? We’ve got 13 games in 13 days starting today, and two doubleheaders in September.
Dont you just leave Moyer in through the end of the game here anyway? That would probably end up giving him about 80 pitches for the outing, which is a lot for relief but obviously he is not really a relief pitcher. They can just give him like 4 or 5 days rest afterwards and he can come in for another long relief situation or maybe a 3 inning thing or something.
Nice victory. That was a sight to behold.
