Good spot in downtown Philadelphia to watch the WS?
McC member and Giants fan here looking for some help. I'll be in Philadelphia this weekend and I'm looking for some help in locating a good spot downtown to watch the World Series. I figure you guys would have the best insight on good spots to watch. Anyone have a favorite? (And don't worry, while I will be in Giants gear, I won't be obnoxious or disrespectful, so you don't have to worry about me ruining your favorite spot for the night) Thanks for any help.

where are you staying?
That’s going to affect the analysis quite a bit. It’s a pretty big city.
If you’re in Center City there are like a jillion bars, pretty sure you can walk around until you find the one you like.
There will probably still be some sore Phillies fans so expect to get some grief if you’re sporting Giants gear.

Yeah, if you’re in Center City wearing Giants gear I recommend avoiding large sports bars if possible. Examples that spring to mind are Fox and Hound on 15th and Spruce and The Fieldhouse on 11th and Filbert. Those places are more likely to be loaded with douchebags who might take exception to your Giants stuff. Bard’s on 20th and Walnut is pretty good – fairly laid back. Also it’s literally right next door to the Irish Pub, Pat’s favorite hangout in Philly. Don’t go there, though, unless you want to drown in a sea of popped collars, frosted tips, and Axe.
