MLB Forces Greenberg to apologize to Yankees

5

Anybody find this a bit disconcerting? _____________ Major League Baseball told Rangers owner Chuck Greenberg to apologize to the Yankees for comments he made about their fans coming off the ALCS. "I thought Yankee fans, frankly, were awful," Greenberg told ESPN Radio in Dallas. "They were either violent or apathetic, neither of which is good. So I thought Yankee fans were by far the worst of any I've seen in the postseason. I thought they were an embarrassment." Greenberg called Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner to apologize for his comments and issued a statement, saying Yankees fans are "passionate" and his remarks on the radio were "intemperate."
