Neat article at Baseball-reference.com. Some arbitrary cutoffs based on how to calculate first ten years (excluding Ruth, particularly, on account of the pitching seasons). Nevertheless, it is still a fun off-season water cooler item. The one that caught my eye was the top ten list for most strikeouts by a batter during the batter's first ten seasons. Count the X-Phillies on the list. Quoth Keanu, "Whoa!" That chart follows the cut, but the whole article is worth a read, if just for the Pujolsbation, if nothing else. Too bad it's not adjusted for inflation. Also, the TTOness of the chart is pretty nifty, too.
