Maybe this is a homer prediction, but I’m thinking Jayson Werth’s beard goes 330/400/650 with a unanimous MVP.

In what spot of the order should Werth’s beard bat? 7th, after Vic?

5th

The beard has to go before Werth. Otherwise, he’s running backwards.

What's he doing growing a full beard, anyway? It's not playoff time yet

Trash talk from Chipper

Or should I say Trash Twit:

Chipper Jones on NL East and the young talent of the Nats, Marlins, Braves: "In the next few years you’re gonna see this division invert

by Boundforbeach on Feb 22, 2010 3:54 PM EST reply actions

Invert? Won’t that mean the Braves will just stay in third place?

by taco pal on Feb 22, 2010 4:01 PM EST up reply actions   1 recs

If, for some reason, the Phillies absolutely had to suck for a year, it would be a crowning moment of awesome for the Nats to come out of nowhere and snag the pennant.

But I thought Chipper was above this trash talking nonsense, since they never did this kind of thing in “his day.” Whatever. If the division does invert, Larry; you won’t be here to see it.

Although this is truly spectacular, I hope this doesn’t presage in some way what happened to Johnny Damon.

by Wet Luzinski on Feb 22, 2010 4:09 PM EST reply actions

It’s so beautiful, I can’t look away. Johnny Damon who?

Chase Utley is so good that on one pitch he stole second, third and the shortstop's hat.

Here are Pujols's stats: 1.000/1.000/4.000/5.000. That's right. He is batting a thousand, with a thousand OBP (naturally), and every hit has been a home run, and thus his OPS is a perfect 5.000.

Insert Dukes of Hazzard Confederate Rally car horn

Is it Lee or Stonewall…..I remember moving to Fairfax county in the ’80’s….the little league team I played on was the “Lil Rebs” and when I asked about getting a day off from school for President’s day people looked at me funny and asked me to explain…“you know Washington’s and Lincoln’s B-Days.” I was quickly reprimanded. “We celebrate Lee/Jackson ’round these parts son” Not any more though. Although Va Senate did reinstate Lee/Jackson Day for state govt. employees only…3 days before MLK day.
