I've gotten ahold of three copies of Todd Zolecki's new book, "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Heart-Pounding, Jaw-Dropping, and Gut-Wrenching Moments from Philadelphia Phillies History." Damn it feels good to be a blogger. I purchased my own copy prior to the contest, and it's a terrific read. Zolecki, the MLB.com Phillies reporter, does a really good job of capturing the relatively few glorious times in the team's history (like now, for instance), and also takes a look at some of the worst (lots and lots). Well done, Todd.
You want a copy? Let's have a little contest.
In the comments below, tell me in 200 words or less your favorite obscure Phillie, and any amusing anecdotes surrounding him. Example: my Wally Ritchie story here.
The three best entries get a free book.
