Apparently somebody made a Youtube video compilation titled “Mike Pelfrey Kicks ass”.
You really can find anything on the internet.
Hagen says
It looks different from the executive suites down on Pattison Avenue. From that vantage point, they are trying to keep their window of opportunity open as long as possible and they aren’t going to be able to do it with prospects, since most of them were traded to get Joe Blanton, Cliff Lee and Roy Halladay in recent years.
Ugh. Whatever the underlying merits of the Howard contract might be, I am pretty certain that this is NOT the reason why the front office signed the deal.
Either way, most of the best “prospects” (May, Cosart, Gose, Gillies, etc.) wouldn’t be ready until 2012-13 anyway, right about the time the Howard contract probably starts to get really yucky.

Is anyone here surprised about the Braves?
I’d expected them to compete heavily with your team and mine. So far, they’ve been an utter fail. I kinda wonder what is going wrong with them, other than the pressure of Cox’s final year and the sucktitude of Melky Cabrera, who was overrated anyway.
Rookie Davis well-suited to Mets.
Nice article by Frank Fitzpatrick. Davis could have the makings of a latter-day Andy Van Slyke if he keeps talking this freely and openly.
