I heard a little rumor today about a plan B concerning the trade involving Cliff Lee.

Once I heard the entire rumor it made sense.  Our beloved RAJ gave a wink, wink to the Mariner's GM (sorry to lazy to research his name) with the idea that if the Mariners are not in contention by the trade deadline that RAJ would return the propects or less and in return we would receive Lee.  Given what Aumont and Gillies have done so far this year it wouldn't break my heart to see them go.  I know the argument about depleting the farm, but if they don't pan out what do you lose.  I believe Lee still has the Philly tags still on his luggage.  How much would the Phils have to pick up on his salary? 2 mil?   This would for sure put some wind in the sails for August and beyond.  As a bonus you would receive comp picks when Lee leaves for free agency.   Any thoughts on this???
