Domonic Brown injured in Futures game

Phillies Triple-A right fielder Domonic Brown, who started and batted cleanup for the United States, left after his first-inning RBI single with tightness in his right hamstring.

Hopefully this is nothing major.  Knowing how the hamstrings have been treating the Phils lately this might not be good news.  We will just have to wait and see what RAJ will let us know.  It looks as if Jayson Werth can breath a little easier now.

not freaking

1. If Brown is NEEDED in Philly this year, the season is probably shot to hell.
2. They announced that it was just a precaution, and MLB notified the Phillies as much.
3. I heard an interview with Brown from after the game on the radio, he barely even discussed it.

Wouldn’t really have shocked me if the Phillies requested that he get pulled to PREVENT a serious injury, and the manager/organizers obliged.

While hammies can be problematic , the words that would make me pace around the round are oblique and groin.
And if Werth were in a position to breathe a little bit easier, that means he’s probably batting behind A-Rod or Cano.
