A TGP Field Trip?
Per the gamethread of tonight, how does everyone feel about a fieldtrip out to Lakewood, NJ to go watch a game of the Blueclaws (who are actually quite good, as compared to the parent club at the moment)?
For the current remaining season of the Claws there are 4 homestands left, is there any suggestions as to which would be the best for everyone's schedules?
Anyways, let's get this thing rolling, because if there's one thing I want it's the chance to decapitate the entire TGP leadership in one fell swoop to enjoy decent baseball in the company of non-Yankees fans.

Sounds like fun — depends on the dates. I literally sat down and scheduled every weekend from now until Thanksgiving with my wife about 2 weeks ago.

This is where I’m at. Wedding season for us (including our own), plus there’s the added inconvenience of me living in Boston.
Really like the idea though, and will try to make it if at all possible.

It was done well. I award him the ears and the tail. The testicles, of course, are already in possession of my wife.

Oh…and it may depend on how much gets dumped by the Werth/Oswalt trade that may (not) be pending. Maybe the Blueclaws will be…picked over.

It’s entirely possible, but there’s a metric shit-ton of prospects on that team to watch not named Cosart and Singleton.

They sell quite a bit of NY merchandise in their concessions, so I suspect there might be one or two yanks fans there.
Are you shitting me? It’s literally covered with Yankees/Mets fans, it’s noxious at the lack of Phillies fan presence there.

I thought it was supposed to be Castrate Straha…
Anyways, if I was up there, I’d love to do it, but I’m closer to Clearwater. I might make a couple of their games once the weather stops resembling a swampy version of hell.
Honor is no substitute for victory.
I think the meme works anywhere, Taco Pal is just the most visible target.

I’m only 20 minutes from Lakewood and its a great park.
They do have some good group rates.

I’m torn. If I go and step out of the shadows, I may never be able to post here again, as my persona will be exposed for the ruse that it really is. On the other hand, if I stay locked in my mother’s basement I might die from Vitamin-D deficiency resulting from a lack of sunlight.
In all seriousness, I have to check the dates, and then double-check my schedule to determine which days work best. Might I suggest a google calendar or a doodle.com page to coordinate this?

Everyone uses these newfangled google calenders, I’m frankly no good at them.

I just had an idea, since there’s always a ton of Yankees/Mets fans there, we should invite Amazin’ Avenue and have ourselves a rumble West Side Story style.
