And if you're pissed at Brad Lidge for what he's doing on the mound, at least you can feel good about what he's doing these days off of it. I'm a big fan of the Food Trust and the farmers markets it sponsors around this area. Kudos to Lidge for putting his name behind the efforts this great organization is doing.

I’m gonna make the joke about Werth’s favorite vegetable being Jen Utley’s collard greens before anybody else does so it doesn’t pick up steam.
There.

Collards is definitely Jimmy.
I’ll go with squash for Howard, avocado for Utley, and broccoli for Werth.

without watching the video (video frowned upon at work), I’m going to go with..
A. Jayson Werth – Acorn Squash, random weird veggie that a caveman could eat.
B. Jimmy Rollins – Broccoli (by process of elimination).
C. Chase Utley – Avocado. Fatty, sushi, californian. Gotta be utley.
D. Ryan Howard – Collards. Totally sterotyping here, but I think J-Roll is from California, and RyHo from Missouri. Missouri is more southern, than California, so I’ll give that to Howard.
Botanically, they are, but in the kitchen—for cooking purposes—they are vegetables. It’s OK to refer to them as such.

Marha Stewart rocks – I admit it. She’s the MacGuyver of home crafts and decorating. Not always my taste but she is very creative.
She steals a lot of her ideas from others, but that’s OK. Most “pioneers” do—they just improve upon the idea somehow. I love how organized all her stuff is; in my perfect world (where I don’t have 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 toddler) my house is that organized all the time.

Martha Stewart is like the Rob Zombie of Arts and Crafts (as Zombie ripped off most of his schtick from Al Jourgensen of Ministry).
I’m glad Rob Zombie is more into making movies simply because it means less time for him to crank out that bad Munsters Metal. Okay it’s fun for parties. For like a song.
I’d imagine it’d fun live. Cost though? I imagine it to be a multi-media affair and therefore more expensive. I used to live in DC so I was spoiled for years with 5 dollars all ages shows (for the local music of which there was plenty. Punk, hardcore, but no metal really. Maybe now there’s metal. Maybe) Still I’ll shell out for show to support bands but I’m stilll punk snobby about overpaying. If they keep cost reasonable I am all but guarenteed to buy a shirt, cd, or 7 in. I don’t go to many shows anymore. I miss that. Phillies games are my substitute. Although I get the concourse tickets unless it’s my B-Day or someone gives me tickets.
As soon as you mentioned Rob Zombie I could get Thunder Kiss ‘65 out my effing head. Enjoy. It is a good song. Lot’s of fun. It’s like the metal version of Deee-Lite’s Groove is In the Heart – you kinda can’t help but shake your ass to it. And yeah I listened to Superbeast, Dragula – hello Ministry rip-off. Big time – like Rob, really? Though Zombie never had William Burroughs star in a video. His whole monster rock schtick though – can’t touch the MisFits, the original band not the re-incarnated version. Legacy of Brutality – what a record.
Don’t know how much his live shows are. My buddy Jim told me that if I drove him to the Ozzfest he’d buy me a ticket, so it didn’t cost me anything.I went to a lot of concerts like that back in PA, most of them God awful terrible (Jerry Garcia, Phish, Black Crowes), but with a few great ones sprinkled in (Morphine, Carlos Santana with Jeff Beck and Ziggy Marley, P-Funk (though I strangled a bouncer there, long story)).
I know. I was just causing trouble.
Once you take out things with seeds its surprising how few veggies there actually are.

As are cucumbers and red peppers. But that makes no sense right? Which is why botanic definitions of “fruit” (a seed inside some kind of case) and cooking/eating definitions of “fruit” (sweet snack-like food not commonly used in dinner cooking) are different.

just red peppers?
not jalapeños or green bell peppers? I’m calling shenanignas and grabbing my broom on that one. :)
My list of cucumbers and red peppers was illustrative, not exclusive.

Is anyone else getting a Rachel Dratch vibe from Mrs. Lidge? Is it just me?

The real question is, what’s Brown’s favorite vegetable?
