I know this is a bit off topic but, some of you may have noticed I’ve been away for a few days. I’m sure some of you thought it a nice break from my misspelling and grammatical butchering ways. See I have given my lab top to my father who’s in the hospital.
My father just had heart sugary (In his words “Double bypass with a new aortic valve on the side”) he made it though just fine. However, about 30 to 40 hours after he left the O.R. he devolved a “minor” infection. Now because of the infection the Docs don’t want to pull the blood draining tube from his chest and it’s causing him terrible pain to the point that he’s not breathing properly and because he’s only taking short breaths his heart is working harder to get blood to his body. That is causing his body temperature to raise and making him sweat to make things worse they gave him a saline wash a day or two before the operation and he’s sweating it out and he says “It’s like being pepper sprayed all day.”. I know there are a few religious people here if you wouldn’t mind please say a prayer for him. His name is Bruce and we would all appreciate it.
I developed my faith during my first Iraq tour. The old saying “There is no Atheist in a fire fight” is the truest thing I’ve ever heard. During Akashack, I’m not sure of the spelling but, it’s about 20K north of Camp Korean village (but that’s a story for another day). If you have someone you would like me to pray for then just let me know in a comment
Thank you for your time.
Postscript
Thanks for your time “LETS GO PHILLS!!”
EDIT
Thanks to everyone who remembered him their prayers. The tube is out and his breathing is better than it has been since the operation. He's still not out of the woods as far as the infection is concerned but, doc said it's minor and should be cleared up with antibiotics.
Edit x2
For those who were concerned my father is out of the hospital and back to his home. Docs tell him he should be back to 100% in about 6 weeks. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
