Curt Schilling (former MLB All-Star Pitcher), and Tim Gray Media (Emmy Award winning producer of documentaries) will launch the national appreciation campaign “Men to Honor”. This campaign is in recognition of First Lieutenant Richard Winters and all US Army officers who demonstrated exemplary leadership as the Allied Forces stormed the beach of Normandy on D-Day.
The campaign, which began on Friday August 20th, strives to raise funds for the Lieutenant Winters Statue. The statue will be dedicated in Normandy in his, as well as other officers’ honors who displayed courage under fire. The statue is designed by renowned sculptor Stephen Spears.
The elements of the program will be brought to life by an interactive online community website that will drive global awareness of the campaign and generate exposure for the cause: remembrance and honor.
