Braves at Rockies, August 25, 2010
Don't look now but the Rockies have closed this to 10-6, with a runner on second, one out in the bottom of the 6th. Peter Moylan is coming in to replace Jair Jurrjens.

Ryan Spilborghs doubles (16) on a fly ball to center fielder Rick Ankiel. Seth Smith scores. Chris Iannetta scores. One out.

I’m looking at this lineup in the field defensively.
Shirley, it can’t last.

I think an earlier post showed us it does not really matter since the Phils are going to mirror the Braves result.
I’ve read a lot of your comments on multiple blogs, I wasn’t aware you understood sarcasm – or when someone was agreeing with you

yes, it’s a certainty that the phillies will lose the division by 2 1/2 games

way to look him over, Sucky McSuckstrom!

top 7th
Beimel pitching
Ankiel popped to short, Diaz flied to right, Infante bunt grounded out to first
Beimel kind of strikes me as someone I’d envision in a Bukowski novel

The trademark is sure to make the difference here.

Guys all the money the Phillies spent on players doesn't ensure a playoff spot.
Politicians are like diapers. They both need changing regularly and for the same reason.
Please point out to me where anyone has ever said that? Short of you doing that, you serve absolutely no purpose here.
Looking forward to the Kevin Kolb era.

COL has men on first and second, one out.

Prince got to choose who was out? Cool

I turned it off when it was 10-1, looked back and it was 10-6, decided I should watch the rest.

I hear that…as long as he isn’t suiting up against us in the NLDS.
Looking forward to the Kevin Kolb era.

This year, I don’t think that’s much of a concern.

Good news, everyone! They’re bringing in Farnsworth.

MLB Gameday is so much better than ESPN’s gamecast.

What about MLB tv?
Oh, you answered that.

Guess who cares? Nobody.
Its better without flash. Flash sucks. Always has.
I'm now Kolb's biggest fan
Because FLASH sucks, is broken, and allows untalented unskilled people to create crap.
And with the advent of HTML 5 – flash will go away – finally

Not to mention
Flash is a giant, gaping security hole, no matter what system it’s on.
The internet is a gaping security hole :)

Pretty amazing failure by the Braves here.

Anyone monitoring the situation over at TC? Have they all jumped yet?
Looking forward to the Kevin Kolb era.

Yeah, suffice to say they’re a bit unhappy over there.
Not like I’ll gloat. Because we can’t seem to win the same day as them anyways.
Yeah I don’t believe in gloating until it’s all said and done(the season). But I would be ready to break something if this just happened to the Phillies.
Looking forward to the Kevin Kolb era.

Didn’t something almost like this happen in the Twins game in June?

SIngle to center. Ankiel bobbled ball, allowing runner at first to get to third. 12-10.

The past couple of nights have been tough for the Phils, but… wow. I cannot imagine losing a game like this.
Over 2,000 posts for a middle of the week game during the day?
Damn free time

I only care to read the most recent stuff.
by WanderingMoses on Aug 25, 2010 6:31 PM EDT up reply actions
I meant them – not you :)
there are over 800 ‘most recent’ stuff – in the second thread – but i must admit the one line that introduces the spill over posting is just classic :)

No, give up a leadoff homer to J-Roll, then retire 24 straight.
Yes, I am calling it, a 1-0 CG SHO for Doc and a 1-0 shitastic CG loss for Happ.

An 18-inning perfect game, actually. Halladay holds them scoreless for 17 innings, but Lidge comes in and gives up a HR.

Now, if only we can beat the Umpires, we’ll gain a game on the Braves.

This actually wasn't as big a comeback
As we had the other week.
Per Fangraphs, the lowest Win Expectancy the Rockies faced here was 1.2%.
Guess a question is, how many times have the Braves lost on the other team’s final AB this season?
by WanderingMoses on Aug 25, 2010 6:37 PM EDT up reply actions
Someone said yesterday they lost 3 games they were leading in the 9th

This makes me feel slightly better about last night. Both teams epic suckage right now. Misery loves her goddamn company.
Lex clavatoris designati rescindenda est.
The phillies don’t suck right now, they got screwed last night, the howard ejection screwed them in the 16th, top and bottom half
