Things to Do in Denver When You're Red: Phillies at Rockies Game Thread, September 2, 2010
Philadelphia Phillies at Colorado Rockies, Sep 2, 2010 7:10 PM EDT
I called up my friend LeRoy on the phone
I said, Buddy, I'm afraid to be alone
'Cause I got some weird ideas in my head
About things to do in Denver when you're red
Never pass up an opportunity for a Warren Zevon reference.
The Phillies are chilling in Denver today on a makeup from May's postponement.
Joe Blanton gets the ball for the Phillies, against Jhoulys Chacin for the Rockies. If you can pronounce that name, you win the Internet.
Discuss the game below.

Is Chooch nursing an injury?
I notice that against RHP, Charlie is sometimes using Schneider instead of Chooch, despite the fact that Chooch is having a great year at the plate. Is Chooch nursing an injury? Or is Charlie trying to keep him in good shape for stretch run and (hopefully) play-offs? Or is it a platoon/RHP-LHP-splits thing? Or…?
I think a lot of them are hurt?
Looking forward to the Kevin Kolb era.

Should i feel bad?
Training for work ended a little bit later than what they scheduled me for, which caused me to be late for class about 30 mins. I skipped the class entirely bc it would be stupid to show up for a 75 minute class 30 mins late. should i feel bad?

Is it the first day? If so, probably. If not, no.
Also, are there more than 15 people in the class? If so, maybe. If not, no.
about 40 people, and it’s the 4th class of the semester, meets 2 days a week

The way it seems they could be up 20 runs and the braves will hit 5 grand slams in the 8 and 9th inning and that a walk-off.

Colorado as a team bats .298 at Coors and .227 on the road. Now tell me, which team is doing the cheating?
It has nothing to do with cheating and everything to do with that park and the altitude there.
Look at other teams averages in Colorado compared to what they do on the regular.

I’ve always wondered if the appropriate pronunciation on the italianish names starting with “I” was a real “I” sound or a “Y” sound.
Should it be “YAH-NETTA” or “I-uhn-etta”?
Help me out folks.
As a greaseball, the “proper” pronunciation is the former. As an American, the latter is the commonly accepted one.

This is what blanton does when his bad. With our lawnmower offence there really is no way to comeback. If they take him out the bullpen will give up a few more. They have done this seemingly all season. This certainly can’t happen in the post season.

I am not being negative. still think we are a bad ass team. I know the pen is been good but I don’t feel that way tonight. If the Braves lose than really nothing bad has happenend.
