Brew With Roy: Brewers at Phillies Game Thread, September 4, 2010
Milwaukee Brewers at Philadelphia Phillies, Sep 4, 2010 7:05 PM EDT
Roy Halladay, who pitched the last game the Phillies lost (Monday's 3-0 defeat in Los Angeles), tries to get back on the winning track (what a bum) tonight versus Dave Bush and the Milwaukee Brewers.
A win tonight, and a Braves loss, means a tie in the National League East. Let's do this.
Discuss the game below.

Okay, so evidently if Kendrick doesn’t suck down the stretch, we’ve got locker-mate Sweeney to thank for jedi-mind-tricking him into being a winner.

If anyone else is interested, the Reds are beating the Cards 5-1, and the Padres are heading toward consecutive loss number 8.
isn’t it going to be 9

I think one of the things Polly has put to rest this year is whether he could make that throw across the diamond.
Yup. Guess I have to take back all of the things I said about signing him. I am really glad he is here!

I didn’t realize polanco was playing that good of a third base, to be leading the league in fielding percentage

Just saw the Rockies beat the Padres again, nine straight losses for SD. The Rockies still have a ways to go, but I would think both SF and SD have to be worried. The Rockies do have to play both Cinci and St Louis in four game sets, so that may make things harder, but they have four more, including tomorrow, against the Padres and three more against the Giants. I wouldn’t bet against seeing the Rockies in October again. (Or Roxtober according to Fox.)
